So in July we made a trip out to Illinois to visit My brother and his family. We also hit Nauvoo while we were there!! It was lots of fun. My brother works for Catepillar. So of course he gave us a quick drive by tour of the stock yard. My boys loved it. What's not to love about tractors to little boys... and believe me my boys are all boy! The picture above is of Broc in the cab and Dane and Dirk with their Uncle Brent! They love their Uncle Brent!

Of course who wouldn't want a family photo in front of a huge grater!! I love this picture of my boys and not so much of me!! But whatever!!
We also visited the Lincoln memorial Tomb. Here we are rubbing Abe Lincoln's nose for luck. As you can tell were aren't the first ones to do it!! In the picture we have my three boys. Rosemary ( my sister-in-law) and her four kids...Sariah, Joseph, Ben, and Sam.
While at the Nauvoo pageant we got a few snow cones. As you can see, Dane rather enjoyed a blue snow cone!! Even though it was cold he was sad when it was gone!!
Dane was full of smiles and tried to take his own picture with Brent and Rosie's camera!
We also played on a slip-n- slide at Brent and Rosie's house. Dane thought it would be good to give me a hug between runs down the slide!! He is growing up sooo fast. Next Friday is already his first Birthday! Hard to believe!!

Summer Fun!!

So we had a lot of fun this summer. Cousin Chloe came to visit for an afternoon. Broc and Dirk had a blast with Chloe. They jumped until their hearts were content, on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath it!! They also loved using the the slip-n-slide!! I laughed because I had to hold Chloe's hand to help her down the slip-n-slide. She had fun playing at our house and we loved having her here!!
We also did a little four- wheeling this summer. My three older Boys loved it as you can see in the picture above. We loved it so much we purchase our own four- wheeler recently. Joe keeps telling people I made him do it!! In the picture above notice the wild flowers in Broc and Dirks hands. They started collecting the flowers on our way back down the mountain!! It become a game for them to see if they could get all of the different kinds!! They had quite the bouquets by the end!!

Joe thought it was funny how the dust collected on my face. The sun-glasses I was wearing made the dust lines look even worse!!

Take a picture of THIS

The kids, Joe included, were playing around with the camera and took this picture. What can I say... They are a bunch of crazies. Mind you, a lovable bunch of crazies!!

Broc's T- ball or should I say G-ball

So Broc played a t-ball this summer. He had a blast making some new friends and learning how to play with his new mitt, ball and bat. It was rather entertaining to watch him while he was out in the field. I have several pictures I could post of him sitting on the ground, with his mitt on his head rather than his hand, but this is one of my favorites of him goofing around with his hat.

Dirk also kept busy during Broc's games. He was courting the ladies. Dirk had this cute little girl, Morgan, holding his hand. They would run up the field hand in hand looking for flowers. Dirk is quite the ladies man!!

Dirk's Birthday

So, on May 26h Dirk turned 3 years old. He decided he wanted a Race Car Cake. He wanted it to look like Lightning Mcqueen only green. So what can a mother do than give her little man what he wants. He got a Power Wheels 4-wheeler for his birthday. As you can see I'm not sure if Dirk or Broc was more excited about the gift. This summer the 4- wheeler has been well used. I was worried it would get used and their bikes would become a thing of the past. Such was not the case. Broc has learned to ride his bike without his training wheels and Dirk has become very interested in also trying to ride his bike without training wheels too!!! Monkey see, Monkey do!!

Dirk had a really good time on his birthday. We had a small birthday party with Grandma and Grandpa Daines, Uncle Morgan and Aunt Liz. Of Course Mom, Dad, Broc and Dane were there too!!

Blogger Vomit

I guess this is what many call blogger vomit. I don't post often because I don't have much time and it always takes way to long to think about trying to be witty (something that I am not!!) So let's start with easter!! My kids had a blast on the Saturday before Easter. The bunny came and left eggs and candy all the fun stuff. We had Grandma and Grandpa Daines come join in the fun!! The kids had a blast. On Sunday morning the Kids received a gift from Mom and Dad new clothes and Doctrine and Covenants and New Testament Readers to help them remember why we have Easter. To think about the Resurection of Jesus Christ. These are them in there new outfits and coloring eggs with Dad!!

Broc loves going to gymnastics. He has a blast on the tramp there. He also is very good at hand stands and is working on cartwheels. He's taking a break from gymnastics to do T-ball this summer. We'll see if he wants to go back or try new things. Hopefully we'll have pictures of T-ball soon.

Dirk just makes me giggle. He is my goofy kid. He always is doing something to make me laugh. He was licking the beaters after making brownies. He has the funnest little personality as shown in this picture.

For Broc's Birthday he decided he wanted to have a strawberry cake with sprinkles and Strawberries on top! He was excited when the cake was done. And was even more excited to have Grandma and Grandpa Daines along with Morgan and Liz there to help celebrate his birthday!! He loved opening his presents and loved blowing out his candles. It was a very fun evening!!

Broc recieved a bike from me and Joe for his birthday. He was nice enough to let Dirk have a turn on his new bike. I loved how he helped Dirk put his helmet on. Because at our house you don't go without a helmet on a bike . Too many experiences with bike accidents not to have a helmet!!!
After the birthday party Dane was very tired. He fell asleep showing us how big he was!! Not that we don't know how big he is... You definately know especially after carrying him around for a while. Cute, Chubby little man!!

My Three Sons!!

These are my three busy bodies!! Although Dirk looks a little distressed, I still like the picture. Dane just got done eating his first dose of rice cereal. Broc and Dirk had to help!! It made for a fun and eventful first feeding for Dane. Notice the thunder thighs on my youngest. It's a wonder we had to start solids... There is no way I can keep up with this chunky monkey. I love his chubbiness. He is so much bigger than my other boys. Broc was almost 20 lbs at one year old and Dirk was almost 19 lbs at one year old. As for Dane at 4 1/2 months old he is 17 lbs 3 oz. Dane is going to catch and surpass my other two in a few months at the rate he is going lol!! I 'm thrilled that he is plenty healthy!!

My Dane

Dane loves to give kisses. He is also teething. His new favorite teething toy...Mommy!!

Does it ever Slow Down!!!

I feel like 2009 has just started. Here it is already Easter!! I feel like Broc was just born yesterday... He turns 5 on the 21st of this month and starts kindergarten this coming fall. What happened to the time!! I have recently begun to think a lot about the time we have here on earth. How it is precious, due to the fact that this is were we are allowed to build special relationships and bond with others. I recently lost a cousin and he was also the son of a dear friend of mine. He left 4 children here and a loving wife ( my cousin). It has helped me to think more and more about what is really important in this whirlwind we call life. It makes me grateful for family and good friends!! It makes me grateful to have a husband who loves me even with all of my downfalls. And that he encourages me to do the things that make me feel accomplished and needed. I'm grateful to have three beautiful, healthy children that can run and play and have the ability to get in trouble. I'm also very grateful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, to know that my family can be forever as we live worthy of this blessing. I guess what is comes down to is... Enjoy each day and live life to it's fullest and never forget what is most important...Relationships with Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father, Family and Friends!!!

Draper Temple

So after having to re-schedule twice due to sickness and a new job... the Johnson Clan made it to the Draper Temple open house. It was very beautiful. Lots of Stone work was within the temple as well as on the outside. The kids enjoyed it!! They said there favorite part was the big chandelier in the celestial room and the baptismal font. Broc told us after we went to the temple that he wants to get baptized and wants his dad to do it!! Another highlight of our temple trip, according to Dirk and Broc , was of course the ride on the bus to and from the temple. I had to laugh at this!!

Mr. Potato Kids

Who ever said that the accessories that came with Mr. Potato Head were actually for the potato?!? I think Dirk and Broc wear the glasses more often than Mr. Potato Head does!!

I'm Hungry

Dane makes me laugh. Each time I lay him on my lap to get ready to feed him... this is the face he makes at me!! I laugh almost every time. Joe captured it on camera for me. I love this picture!!

Playin' on the Floor

Broc and Dirk are beginning to understand how to interact with Dane. Broc especially loves talking to Dane. I went to my room to make my bed and had left Dane to kick on the floor for a few minutes. I came out of my room to find Broc lying on the floor next to Dane talking to him. What was especially cute was Dane was talking and smiling back at Broc. Broc was eating this up!!

Fun In The Tub

Broc and Dirk have recently discovered how fun bubble baths can be. Joe gave them beards. Watch out ZZ Top here come Broc and Dirk!!

HOORAY!!

Well we have had a great week. We decided to pay $8 and find out what the results of Joe's test were on Monday the 23rd. And of course he passed!! I never had any doubts. What was extremely exciting was that on the Wednesday before his test he had interviewed for a job at the hospital in the Float Pool. They had told him to call when he knew the results of his test. So he called and talked to RuthAnn (manager of the float pool) and let her know he had passed. That afternoon Human Resources from the hospital called and offered him a job!! Yeah!! Once again our Heavenly Father has blessed our family over and over again. I know He answers prayers because we have been praying for this change in our lives. The extra good news for me is because of Joe's hard work to get through school and get a job. I'm part time for permanance... just enough to keep my licence and to have an out doing what I enjoy!! I love my job but I love my kids a ton more!! They are growing up too fast.
As evidence of my kids growing too fast. We register Broc for kindergarten next week. He has really enjoyed going to pre-school so I think he will love going to kindergarten. I have difficulty thinking about sending my little boy off to a place where I can't watch out for him closely. I'm a little bit of a worry wart. But my one comfort and consolation is that my wonderful mom teaches at the school to which he is going.
Dane is growing like a weed. He is only 4 months old, However I'm starting to put his 3-6 month clothes away and getting out the 6-9 month clothes. This is a new expierence for me!! My other two boys are on the small end!! Dane is becoming more active. He now can roll not only from his belly to his back but also from his back to his belly. He is becoming a lot more interested in toys. It's fun to watch his little face light up when playing!!

Lot Of Good News!!

We have wonderful news for our little family. Joe Finally received his ATT (Authorization To Test) today!! Yea! His test date is on February 20th. So please keep in him in your prayers as he continues to prepare and take his boards!! I know we will!
Today was also a very fun day! Dane rolled over for the first time from his tummy to his back. What was even more fun was Joe and I were both able to witness it!! He is growing like a weed and just happy as ever... and healthy thank goodness! We've had the nasty bugs around our house the last couple of weeks...between sinus infections coming out of eyes and fevers to just plain feeling miserable. Gratefully everyone is on the mend.
Another bit of exciting news is that we are going to go to the Draper Temple Open house on March 2nd. We thought this would be an awesome teaching opportunity for our boys. Joe and I were inspired especially by Broc's prayers. On and off for the last little while he has been praying to be able to go to the temple. He knows it is a special place and that mom and dad were married there. Rather than just trying to explain everything we thought is would be fun to show him. We'll let you know how it goes!
Here's a few new pics to enjoy

Sneaky, Sneaky
